The community needs to be very proud of itself in how it came together in a unified voice. Let's take this time to reflect on how lucky we are to have a great community centre and a gorgeous park. We are also very lucky to have a council that we know will listen.
Sometimes communities polarize around a cause and over time the energy fades.
Let's show the Council they made the right decision and respect what they did for us at tonight's meeting. Let's try to rent the community centre more. If you are not already, get involved with a community group or sports association. If nothing else, get up to the park and enjoy it as much as you can.
Talk up what Dr Chant wants to bring to this community. His group will be a valuable asset to Middlesex Centre; we just need to find a place for them to build their nest.
Thanks to all of you for getting involved.
Thanks to Council for doing what they did tonight,
Thanks to the Middlesex Centre staff for being there to support our efforts.
Over the last few weeks our community got a lot stronger, and that is a good thing!
