We have been informed by a resident that when requesting to book the Komoka Community Centre they received a response that the Komoka Community Centre had been declared surplus and no bookings were being made after June 30th, 2022.
As Council still has to vote on making the Komoka Community Centre surplus the admin office needs to clearly state to staff that the surplus vote has not been made and act accordingly.
In our opinion booking staff should accept all bookings but communicate that the booking is tentative as the facility status is under review and that by June 30th the booking will be confirmed or cancelled pending the outcome of the vote.
Update April 16th, 2022: Park gazebo not available starting end of May due to construction.
The reports that the Komoka Community Centre is dead are greatly exaggerated! ....unless a deal and decision has been made behind closed doors.
